Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026 Applies to: ABE — 101 Financial's instructor tool (this application)
101 Financial ("we," "us," or "101 Financial") operates ABE, an internal business-building tool for 101 Financial's contract instructors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
If you are a member of the public visiting this page from a Google OAuth consent screen: ABE is a private tool used only by 101 Financial's contracted instructors. It is not available to the general public. This policy is published here so that when an instructor connects their Google Calendar to ABE, they can review how their data is handled.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at brian@101financial.com.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers three groups of people whose information may be present in ABE:
- Instructors — 101 Financial's contract instructors who use ABE.
- Leads and students — the individuals whose contact information instructors enter into ABE for the purpose of scheduling workshops, personalized outreach, and coaching.
- 101 Financial staff and administrators — corporate staff who use ABE's HQ admin surfaces for company-wide reporting and content management.
Information we collect
From instructors (users of ABE)
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, and other profile details, sourced from 101 Financial's core platform when you sign in.
- Voice profile — writing samples you provide during onboarding, used to personalize AI-drafted messages.
- Usage information — pages viewed, features used, drafts generated, messages composed, and other actions inside ABE. Used for coaching, gamification, and system health.
- Preferences — settings you configure (calendar sync options, feature flags, notification preferences).
- Device and technical information — browser type, operating system, IP address at time of sign-in, and similar technical data used for security and troubleshooting.
About leads and students (individuals you add to ABE)
- Contact information — names, email addresses, phone numbers, and any notes you enter.
- Interaction history — messages you drafted or sent to them (through ABE's copy-paste model — see below), workshops they registered for or attended, pipeline stage changes.
- Optional attributes — life stage, financial situation, relationship type, and similar details you record to help personalize outreach.
From connected third-party services (opt-in only)
If you choose to connect a third-party service to ABE (for example, connecting your Google Calendar), we receive information specifically related to that integration:
- Google Calendar integration: if you connect your Google account to ABE, we receive an OAuth authorization token that allows ABE to create, update, and delete calendar events on your behalf. We do NOT read your existing calendar events. We only WRITE the events you have asked ABE to push (workshops, follow-up reminders, class dates, and other categories you explicitly choose in your settings).
How we use your information
- To operate ABE — displaying your leads, drafting personalized outreach, tracking your progression, running gamification and mission engines, showing your team's downline.
- To improve your experience — coaching prompts, badge and level celebrations, KPI tracking, next-action suggestions.
- For internal reporting — 101 Financial's corporate leadership uses aggregated and per-instructor reporting to understand network-wide activity, promotion pipeline, and University attendance.
- For security and integrity — detecting unauthorized access, protecting against abuse, maintaining audit logs of material actions.
- For technical operations — backups, error investigation, and general system administration.
The Google Calendar integration specifically
If you choose to connect your Google Calendar to ABE:
- ABE requests permission to create, update, and delete calendar events on your Google Calendar (
calendar.eventsscope). - ABE stores your Google authorization token in encrypted form on our servers. The token allows ABE to make Google Calendar API calls on your behalf without asking you to sign in again.
- ABE writes events to your Google Calendar based on the categories you have enabled in your ABE calendar settings (for example, workshops you are teaching, follow-up reminders, University events you are registered for).
- ABE does not read any events from your Google Calendar. The
calendar.eventsscope technically permits reading, but ABE's software only performs write operations and only for events that ABE itself has created. - ABE does not share your calendar data with any third party. The tokens and event metadata are used solely to keep your Google Calendar in sync with ABE.
- If you disconnect the integration at any time, ABE will remove every event it created in your Google Calendar and revoke your authorization token.
- The integration is completely optional. You can use every other feature of ABE without connecting your Google Calendar.
ABE's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Within 101 Financial. Corporate staff and authorized administrators can access ABE's internal reporting, and depending on their role can view individual instructor activity for coaching, promotion tracking, and business operations.
- With service providers who help us operate ABE. These include our hosting provider (Heroku, a Salesforce company), our database provider, our AI model provider (Anthropic), and similar operational vendors. These providers are contractually restricted to using data only to provide services to us.
- When required by law. We may disclose information if required by a subpoena, court order, or other lawful process, or to protect the rights or safety of 101 Financial, our instructors, our students, or the public.
- In connection with a business transaction. If 101 Financial is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected instructors before information is transferred.
Data retention
- Instructor account data — retained as long as you have an active contract instructor relationship with 101 Financial, plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping and legal obligations.
- Lead and student data — retained as long as your ABE account is active. When you stop using ABE, records are retained according to 101 Financial's internal data retention schedule.
- Google OAuth tokens — deleted when you disconnect the Google Calendar integration or when your ABE account is terminated.
- Audit logs — retained for internal security and compliance purposes.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correction. You can view and update most of your profile information from within ABE. For information not editable in-app, contact us.
- Disconnect integrations. You can disconnect any third-party integration (such as Google Calendar) at any time from your ABE settings. Disconnecting will delete all data specific to that integration.
- Deletion requests. Contact us to request deletion of information about you or specific leads. Note: we may need to retain some information to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
- Complaints. If you have concerns about how we handle your information, contact us. If you believe we have violated your rights, you may have the right to file a complaint with a data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest (including OAuth tokens)
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS)
- Row-level security in our database to prevent instructors from accessing each other's data
- Audit logging of material actions
- Regular security review and dependency updates
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.
Children's information
ABE is a business tool for adult contract instructors and their adult prospects. It is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to ABE, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify active instructors through ABE or by email. Continued use of ABE after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
